PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Donley’s Concrete is helping Cooper River Contracting finish the concrete. Worldwide Equipment is opening up a regional sales office in Jedburg, SC. They will distribute Kenworth trucks, amongst others and look to use this office to strengthen their presence in the booming Charleston market.

Armada Hoffler is an owner/developer for a luxury student housing apartment complex designed to accommodate the vast growing population on the Charleston Peninsula. The project required extra attention as a 1300 cubic yard concrete pour was required to meet the demanding schedule, which was delivered at a rate of 200 cubic yards/hour from Knight’s Spruill Ave Central Mix plant.

We are proud to be a part of a project that plans to bring new life and economic expansion to a growing area.

Our precast crews in Richmond Hill and Jedburg teamed up to complete this headwall and box culvert for Eastern Excavating. The final piece being installed on this section is called a crunch box, which is a piece of skewed precast.

Precast manufactured this 6’x24′ settling box with two baffle walls to help with filtration. It weighs 47 tons. Since Santa Cruz bought a pre-existing facility, they retained all previous employees and added new jobs to the area, but this box was a part of the facility’s expansion.

Knight’s Redi-Mix and Pumping provided roughly 717 cubic yards with footings and four slab pours. This project was particularly special to us because this Food Lion will go on to serve the people located near our company headquarters.

Knight’s Redi-Mix and Pumping teamed up to provide 40 cubic yards for Baytree Landscapes. This slab will be a part of the the Amenities Center at the new Bradford Pointe subdivision in Summerville, South Carolina.

Camp Cole is a non-profit camp and retreat for children and adults with serious illnesses, disabilities and other challenges. In 2021, construction on their first permanent site will be finished, and these cabins will house almost 200 campers.

Knight’s Redi-Mix supplied 48,000 cubic yards for the concrete paving project at South Carolina Ports Authority’s Hugh K. Leatherman Terminal. Because the paving machine for this project needed so much concrete at one time, for the first-time-ever we used our dump trucks to quickly deposit our ready-mix. But, we were also able to use our traditional mixer for the work with Loveless Commercial Contracting at the terminal’s checkpoints. With five ship-to-shore and 25 hybrid RTG cranes, the terminal will double SC Ports throughput capacity.

Knight’s Precast manufactured two custom light poles bases for Allston Farrell to install at the Lineage Logistics warehouse in Palmetto Commerce Park. Normally, light pole bases are 8 inches in diameter and 7 feet tall, but this bad boy is 36 inches in diameter and over 14 feet tall!
