PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Knight’s Redi-Mix supplied 48,000 cubic yards for the concrete paving project at South Carolina Ports Authority’s Hugh K. Leatherman Terminal. Because the paving machine for this project needed so much concrete at one time, for the first-time-ever we used our dump trucks to quickly deposit our ready-mix. But, we were also able to use our traditional mixer for the work with Loveless Commercial Contracting at the terminal’s checkpoints. With five ship-to-shore and 25 hybrid RTG cranes, the terminal will double SC Ports throughput capacity.
