SUMMERVILLE, S.C. – Knight’s Companies is proud to announce its hired Jodi McCall as its first-ever human resources director. Previously, McCall was the human resources manager at Home Telecom. She joins Knight’s with 25 years of experience in human resources.
McCall will work with Pete Knight, CEO of Knight’s Companies, and executive management to develop employee services, policies and programs geared toward creating a stronger sense of community at Knight’s. Currently managing a team of four human resources professionals, she will lead the implementation of programs to enhance the employee experience.
“Leaving Home Telecom after 17 years was not a decision I made lightly, but I believe I can make a difference here and adequately support the company’s growth,” McCall says.
McCall graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications. Later, she became a Society of Human Resources Management – Certified Professional and a certified Professional in Human Resources from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
In her career, bringing the human element to business operations is McCall’s top priority.
“Every company has to have a solid foundation to build its success on, and the employees are that foundation,” McCall says. “The company must do right by them so they in turn can perform at their very best for the company.”
McCall is based in Summerville, but will travel to Columbia, Beaufort and Savannah markets as needed.
