The Chief of Staff is an executive leadership position that reports to CEO, Pete Knight. As COS, Thomas will be responsible for developing, supporting, and implementing productivity initiatives, business strategy, activities, processes, and systems.
Thomas has cumulative four and a half years of service with Knight’s Companies. Since her initial hire in 2004, the Company has grown from four plants, one office, and 180 employees, to 19 plants, five offices, and nearly 400 employees operating throughout the greater areas of Columbia, Charleston, Beaufort, and Hardeeville, SC, as well as Savannah, GA. “This is a major step forward in the growth of Knight’s Companies. Over the last year and a half, Jan has taken on duties that have proven her ability to lead organization-wide collaboration to achieve objectives, track progress against workplans, and communicate effectively with staff, leaders, and external business partners.
