Concrete Pumping

Gone are the days of hauling wet concrete in wheelbarrows across large job sites or lifting buckets of concrete to higher stories. Concrete pumping has replaced these labor-intensive tasks with specialized equipment to get concrete where it needs to go, no matter how far away or how many stories high.

We do not use third-party vendors or rent pumping trucks for any project. Our concrete pump operators are Knight’s employees who have been trained to pump concrete safely and efficiently. They will drive our equipment to your site and safely place your concrete anywhere you need it using specialized hoses and booms.

    Our Pumping Equipment

When it comes to concrete pumping equipment we use only the best. We currently have two 2019 Putzmeisters with 16 cell pump kits. What does this mean for your commercial concrete project?

    • Our pump trucks are equipped with the newest equipment and technology.
    • We can pump your concrete up to 106 feet from our truck horizontally, or 126 feet into the air, allowing us to put your concrete pretty much anywhere you need it.
    • The specs on our pumps say they can pump 210 cubic yards per hour, but we have used them to pump up to 250 cubic yards per hour reducing the time it takes to get your concrete placed and keeping your project on schedule.
    • Our 16-cell pump kits insure we can pump some of the hardest mixes and add mixtures out there with ease, and we know the pump will make it through the job.
Our drivers are employees who are invested in our business and the success of your project
    • We can handle the largest, most complex concrete pumping jobs
    • Our ready-mix concrete division will coordinate with our trucking and pumping divisions so you don’t have to coordinate with multiple vendors.

    About Concrete Pumping

Concrete pumping trucks are only used for pumping. They cannot be used to mix or transport concrete. Concrete is poured from the concrete mixer into the pumping truck, where pressure is used to push the concrete through a hose or pipe. Concrete pumping is used when the pour site can’t be reached by the concrete truck. If your pour site is far away, long hoses can be attached to the pump to easily move the concrete along the ground to the specified location. To reach higher pour sites, a truck with a boom, which resembles a large robotic arm, is used to pump the concrete to the desired height. Don’t hire one company to mix your concrete, one to haul it, and one to pump it, just call Knight’s and we’ll do it all. We specialize in commercial construction projects in South Carolina.
